5-Hour Energy

So I wasn't sure if I should try it, I probably shouldn't have tried it, and I'm not really thrilled with the results now that I've tried it.  I'm typing faster than usual, I'm talking faster than usual, and I'm flittering around like a little hummingbird!  I only drank 1/2 of the 5-Hour Energy bottle.  It was not the best tasting, and now I feel like I've had a few cups of coffee (which is bad for someone who never has caffeinated beverages!).  Needless to say, I've thrown out the other half and won't be doing THAT again!  Haha

For natural energy, I like to feel accomplished.  Take last night:  I dust mopped the whole house in a matter of 5-10 minutes, changed all the trash bags (because I accidentally thought today was going to be trash day, a day early!) in about 2 minutes, and got everything ready (perhaps another 10 minutes) for me to leave the house at 4:15 AM this morning without having to do much but shower, dress, and fill my water bottle.

I found that I can empty the clean dishes out of a full dishwasher in less than the 2-3 minutes it takes to reheat leftovers.  It is a GREAT feeling when I can beat the timer on the microwave!  And finishing one cleaning project makes me energized for the next one!  I learned quickly not to overdo it because I could start to feel burned out.  Most tasks can be done in less than 15 minutes, and, by keeping on top of things, you don't have to stress and do it all at once!

The best tools I've found so far are white rags in a bag (less than $1 per rag from the home improvement store; they hold up to a few washes and you won't feel bad throwing one away if it gets too nasty), a LARGE (at least 3-feet across) dust mop with 2 removable/washable heads, and Clorox GreenWorks all-purpose cleaner (any cleaner will work, but this one has fewer chemicals and smells fresh).  I take a few minutes each day to clean up after myself as I go, like the bathroom sink/toilet/shower while I'm in there getting ready in the morning and the kitchen counters/etc while I'm waiting for dinner to finish cooking.  You can do it!  Just take it in small baby steps and don't procrastinate!  When your house is clean, you will feel energized to do other things!
